Considering I purchased this motor to just put it in to get Marcia on the road. I have wanted to tickle it and get that little bit more out of it.
Out of the stock I have of 202 heads I gave one to GR to give it a little bit of a tickle. Due to cost i asked him not to go to far but I'm very happy with the result
The wifes daily drive 1152 has GRs RE13 so when he told me he was makeing something with a little bit more, I just had to have it. This will make it just that little bit more interesting
and to link the 2 together I was just going to go with Isky or lightened Followers. GR said bring in your old Followers I can make them better than New.
To match the new Cam the Followers have been Chilled to Rockwell C 63 to 65 Hardness. They have been reground to the face with a different radius to the ones you can buy today. New followers can differ in hardens from 48-55 and the original old followers back in the 60s were all about 60 Rockwell C. You will also notice the flat on the side this is to keep oil on the followers while they spin. The top V8 guys also mode is to put a grove in the lifters wall which does the same thing
