Post subject:  How long have you owned your mini ???
Just realising that since I bought the sports850 in November 1992 that I'll have owned it for 17 years sometime this month I was wondering how many have owned their mini for a long time . I know there are a few on here that bought theirs new or near new but who has actually owned their mini the longest (not gave it to a family member and got it back or sold it and bought it back but continuously owned one mini the longest) ?

16 years for my current 1970 `Minimatic'. I found it sitting in a garden, roof all jumped in, lots missing, it cost me a bottle of Chivas Regal.
About $5K later it was on the road with new acrylic paint, 1310S power, S box and discs.
It's had a couple of motor incarnations since... and a repaint in 2 pack. :wink:

1275LS, purchased in 1984 = 25 years.
Morris 1100, purchased in 1998 = 11 years.
Morris 1100 Auto, purchased in 2004 = 5 years.

i bought my mini in may'98. I was 18 and its had to sit ever since then while my life got in the road :roll: !

BUT........ its been at the 'shop' for the last 3 months and should have her new coat of paint this week after the boys found some serious work needed doing to the body. Cant wait to see it!!!! HER rebuild is MY 30th bday pressie to myself :lol: !
