I'm looking at mounting a lightweight bonnet with four quick release pins. http://www.minisport.com/acatalog/info_LMA240.html Where do folks put their pins in the body? I'm thinking the rear might need a couple of plates welded across the rear corners somewhere but there is probably enough flat steel on the front. Suggestions? Pictures of how they are mounted if possible would be appreciated. |

4x small diagonal plates welded (or bolted) into the 4x corners of the bonnet opening area |

I use four of these type sliding pins to hold the f/g bonnet down on the van. I cut four triangle shape alloy plates and riveted them to the drain channel on the wings and front / rear panels. |

Anybody added a fibreglass bonnet onto the front of a Clubman and can advise on how they fitted the pins? |

Mike, the last cluuby we had here with a lift-off bonnet had pins straight through the original tin, at the outer corners. The bonnet was spaced 'up' by bits of hose over the pin, and held down with R clips. Front was done just in front of where your compliance plate goes, but before the double panel. |

oops,,, should have known by your avitar pic thingy yeah corners are sweet & ready for a drill ,,, fit the pins, mark & drill the bonnet to suit,,, pack with small rubber bush & Bob`s your Aunty,,, er sorry,,, that should be Bert`s your Aunty now
