i`ve been out & about most of the day, but i did leave the computer thingy on the whole time tho,,,

I took my girlfriend to work at about 7am,,, then dropped into the machine shop & been machining some stuff (1275 primary gear thrusts), came back here , put some washing on the line & cleaned up dog-sh!t, came upstairs & posted some replys & answered e-mails etc,,, then went out again (leaving computer on again) & payed some bills & picked up some stuff (new mulit-meter & alloy rad from being welded) then went back down to Bulimba & talked turkey with Bruce Ayers about Speedway at Toowoomba this sat night,,,, then gave a mate at Taylor St mech a present (crossword books) :-) & then greased my nipples on the suspension & the clutch cable on my kombi while i was there, then came back here packed & labeled some parcels & took off to K-mart posted off some master cyl resovoirs & picked up some vitamins from the chemist,,, & now i`m back here again answering some more e0mails & replys to Ausmini (again)

soo,,, David,,, what`s your excuse??? no work to do??? & just sitting there fiddling with your thumbs , checking out who`s on Ausmini all day???

:-)

Oh yeah i`m about to go to the shed to set up 2 different sets of 1&3/4 SU carbs for 2 different customers & bring the washing in off the line :-),,, then i`ll have to fit the alloy rad back into the turbo twinky moke & probably finish off a cyl head & match porting a weber manifold for Dave (Airley beach),,, that should take me through till about 1am-ish

whats your daily routine then??? :-)

Aw David

I am a TPI (I am on the nominal role) - the DVA only gives four tablets a month - I dont need them but I defend those who do.

Anyway Viagra is a very small part of a veterans medical needs - what are down to with WW2 veterans - perhaps 60,000 ??????

No Matt

Its not $60,000 pa we are talking about. Its veterans left in the system sadly.

We are losing the WW2 people at a rate of 2,000 a week. At the beginning of the year it was around 120,000.

Of the 60,000 veterans there were 55,000 vietnam veterans and a lot of them have gone already so whats left is the sprinkling of WW2 people, a few Malaya and Borneo veterans, quite a few Vietnam veterans and a couple of thousand only of post 1975 veterans such as Rwanda, Somalia, Timor, Irag and Afghanistan.

A previous Minister for Veteran Affairs (Dana Vale) once said that veterans got more per month in pensions than her staffers and that was simply not true. She was very rubbery with figures and no wonder she was known in Veterans circles as the Minister for Morning teas and Monuments.

There's something wrong with those maths.
Are there 60000 WW2 vets now, or 60000 vets of all conflicts?

I suspect the latter, but your post implies 60000 WW2 vets left.

Its veterans of all conflicts. Of the original 55.000 Vietnam Veterans, many of them didn't make the distance. Suicides, health problems, cancers and just old age.

All remaining WW2 veterans are now in their late eighties or early ninties and all the Vietnam veterans are now in their sixties and or older. One of the CSMs in the unti I was in was a WW2, Korea, Malaya and Vietnam veteran. He was in his fifties when he was in Vietnam. So that gives you an idea of the spread of ages.

The problem with Viagra is that you have to take it an hour or so before the 'event' - now how many of us know we are going to be THAT lucky that far ahead of time ? Now there is Caverject - that is nearly instant only problem is you need a steady hand and a fridge near by
