I've got some keys from mini's that went to the big wrecking yard in the sky many years ago that I can post down for you to try if you'd like ? If any of them fit you can get some cut from it . I'll need them all back but not urgently

PM me your address and I'll send them down .

I'm going that way on Sunday for lunch, so can come around with a set of keys from my 1969 Mini, don't think the Rover one's would be much help.

If you're going that way, I have a bunch you could take with you (so long as I can have them back :P )

I was thinking, since you are locked out, couldn't you remove the locking strip to the windscreen to gain access?

I've always wondered why the locking strip was on the outside and got laughed by a mechanic when I said I would try putting the locking strip to inside the car instead.

Or am I missing something important here?

Steady there, next minute you'll tell him to hammer out the hinge pins and lift the door off .

You don't need to pull the windscreen out to get into a locked mini.
There are a lot easier ways to get in than that.
