Morris1100......

Come on down!

Worth $5,500? Looks like a good car for a feature by Watto if original as it looks........

Yep thats good, Think they called them a povertypack clubman
Vinal floor and wondering stick and on dry suspension and roundy clock.
Car number 337   seems an incredibly low number for a 72 model... that bit doesnt sound quite right

Looks very good though, i think the interior may have been changed?? as early clubmans had heatpressed interior, so would assume the povertypack clubman would also.

I think this was called mini 1100

Wait till Watto or morris 1100 comes on that will be able to clear my uncertainties.

If he took that number straight of the comppliance plate which i asume he did as he mentioned YG2S6, they start at 500 (837 - 500 = 337)

Like my gt whose number is YG2S8 1330, but is car 831

:) :)

I,m pretty certain its genuine ( the radio is'nt ), those were the real Clubman's , I,m sure they were using the last of the Mini K interior bits in combination with the newer bits and pieces , Mini K engine and gearbox as well. Not too many of them around in that condition , if I had the reddy's and the room  :)

Just found it!

In The Mini Experience issue 19!

Yep - povo pack 1100.......magic wand was standard.

Apparently rare as most would have been modded or rotted.....

Looks like a nice buy - 12 months rego too!

As everyone else has already said it is a Mini 1100. It is in Sydney County Council colours, they were one of the main buyers of this model.
The main differences between this and a Clubman is the dash, gearshift, interior trim, hubcaps and dry suspension.
They were not a special model to use up K bits, they were a planned model based on the cheaper Mini Panel Van.
The idea was to be able to list a very cheap model to lure buyers in (as well as having a cheaper model for fleet sales) Once the buyer was in the showroom the saleman then tried to up-sell to a Clubman.

Like Bubbacluby said, it is a very low car number which indicates how many (or few) of this model was made. (337 is right)

It is a good looking car in great stock condition and I hope it goes to someone who will appreciate it for what it is and not destroy it.

All Clubmans used the same mechanicals as the K. Even the early Leyland Mini used the same mechanicals.
