Took Ribena to a reputable repairer three days ago because I heard a leak in the extractors - needed a bit of a weld somewhere. Picked the car up today and I'm not happy 1. The bonnet wouldn't close. I think some careless person opened the bonnet too far and effectively 'stretched' the hinges 2. It's still leaking. As I was driving away, the boss was driving away in the other direction. Needless to say, I will be taking it back and complaining like crazy. Jeez, when you pay $200 you expect the job done properly. For that sort of price, I could have a complete new system I would think. The one that's on is stainless so it's still in good condition - it's just the extractors that are getting a bit 'used' by now. Not happy ![]() |

I had a hole in my extractors welded up the other day for $10 from the local exhaust guys! Mind you, I took the extractors of, and took them in and ground the weld down myself.....but if you want something done properly....do it yourself! |

that's a sad point you make there. Its a lot of worry when you are unable to pay someone to fix a problem so you don't have to stress about it. No one cares anymore, they just want your money. |

Sucks but it really is. It's either easy done in 4 weeks to fix something then turns Into 8 weeks. Or fix it in 5mins want top dollar with poor rushed workmanship. I would fully be hitting them up. Say welder charges 80 an hour that's like 2.5 hrs work. You can weld a lot in 2.5hrs I would say. Keep in mind that would include him removing extractors And exhasut if he needed to. |

Quite correct - it did include taking them off and re-fitting BUT I had to provide my own gasket ![]() |
