Hi

Just wondering what a rough price would be to recon a Turbo ?

Can you by recon kits ?

And how much would you pay for a turbo that needs recon ?

Thanks

Mark

Are you talking a big one like off a truck or one of those little plastic ones for a Smart ForTwo? :D
Maybe you could just buy the badge?

When building a turbojet with an IHI (near as common as garrett) turbo to suit a 1.6L something i got a rebuild kit from a turbo specialist for $200 (trade).

It included 2 seals and the bush for the centre.

The positioning of the centre bush/bearings is critical, the one i built had no stops or lips to position it so i had to measure it as i pressed it into place.

If you do it yourself get any information you can about it
