Post subject:  Rover Mini's

Hi guys just new here.

Am really interested in in getting my hands on a Rover Mini.

Now I used to see them all the time in Unique cars for sale and all over the net. But I can't seem to find any for sale in Aus right now.

I was wondering if anyone could point me to the right websites to find these cars..

Also is it worth getting one or buying an older restored mini which is cheaper with less rust but no EFI??

Thanks for your help guys! :D

firstly you cant realy say what will have more rust, a proper resto job should be pretty free of rust, a bodgy fix up could be full of it be it a Rover or Leyland or BMC..
there are still imports comming in although recent law changes may make getting newer Rovers tricky..
if you really want a Rover stick to your gunns and keep looking.. most important thing is to find a car you love, however you may find for the sort of money needed for a rover you could by a great restored BMC, or 20+ Leylands LOL...
good luck anyways
and put a location on ya ID it makes life easier for people who may have a mini in your area to contact you..

They pop up all over the place every now n then. There have been at least 5 on ebay during the last 6 weeks. I fing the trading post has a few from week to week, and carpoint.com have the same car every time I look.
Try contacting Brickworx, he's in SA. He knows what he's doing.

Dont forget that the importing rules have changed. Minis built after 1989 are no longer coming to Adelaide, AFAIK
