hello can i put 1100 disc brakes of a morris 1100 on my clubyvan.

They are much taller between the ball joints. If you do manage to fit them between the wishbones it stuffs the geometry up that much that they are useless.

You can convert them to fit with a bit of work, the calipers will only fit 12" or 13" wheels a lot of them were used on mokes, cheap conversion when the 8-4 discs were not available as they are now.

is it wort the effort NO.

i have a complete front cut of an 1100 my local mini mech
said he could get it all sweet set up working for $250 on my little van so all up i can can have a disc brake set up brought and put on for $400 is it worth it or should i just fork out the $1000 for a real mini set cos i will have to get bigger wheels .

Are you serious ! If your keen on using the motor just mount it on a proper Mini front subframe and just use standard drums , use the money you would waste on 7.5 disks on getting the motor sorted.

I would save your money and go buy some proper Mini ones. 7.5" for 10" wheels, or 8.4s for bigger ones.
Yes I have seen 1100 brakes butchered to `work' on a Mini, but these days IMO it's a waste of time and $$$.
If they bugger up your suspension geometry or fail when you need them, you will not be a happy chappy. :lol:
