Hello all,
would anyone know where I would be able to get a Fiberglass Bootlid in Australia? And roughly how much will it cost?

Cheers Bunyip.

depending on what you want, single skin which is really only for race purposes or the complete fibreglass boot lid which is a replica of your normal boot lid. i got mine from the UK.
the single skin cost around $120 total posted to sydney, the replica one from memory was around $180-$210 total to sydney.

I chatted to this guy quite a bit at IMM / Mini50:

http://www.the-arc-angels.co.uk/

Seemed a genuine guy who wants to grow his business, some fibreglass mobs can be a bit 'fly by night' ! :?

For some more sexxy and exxy stuff:

For stuf in Aus, maybe Fred Sayers? :?:

I got mine years ago from Talon bodykits and there was also a place they did bodykits in allawah sydney from memory in Planthurst Rd.

There are two types, one being single skin and one which has extra braces in it. Mine is single skin and very light but they aren't that strong.

The same people also use to do the bonnets as well.

I love that carbon weasel site! Amazing work!

Does anyone know where I can buy a carbon fibre kit to make my own stuff? Scored a carbon fibre bonnet the other day and I have a fascination with the stuff ever since. 8)

high fill to smooth out any imperfections buy overall prep is not alot of work.... Unless you do what I did  glued the single skin over existing boot, filled edges, bit of high fill then speed file to finish, paint ..... Stand back and admire sexy new smooth butt ........... Close boot and the whole thing cracked around the edges!!!!!
As the fiberglass flexes more than metal it has just warped and gone to poo over several months.....just weld a plate in is the better solution for smooth look
