So it has developed a clicking noise (sounds like a relay, every 10 seconds or so), and after a few drives I realised the Odo has stuck on 69999.9 just can't 70000, guess the 'low milage' will improve re-sale

So I was reading a web article about servicing the speedo, but now can't find it.....

Any suggestions?

Most likely the little plastic lever that pulls the odometer number around has worn out. I don't think you can fix them, short of getting another one thats not worn.

The early cars had a brass lever which lasts longer and is easier to build up when it wears, but the later speedos that say "Made in UK" on the face have plastic ones. They always fail with lots of 9s showing. You can open them up and turn them to the next number and it might work until enough 9s come up next time.

I reckon the file you want is this one.
