Unfortunately no. You have not been able to buy leaded petrol for over 10 years.

Yeah that'll work, for a while..
then:
Step 3: Rebuild the head with unleaded seats once the valves have sunk into the head, or burned out.
850 exhaust valves were not made from the greatest material.

What are the symptoms of a leaded head experiencing valve seat recession? I have NFI what my engine is but I've been running it on unleaded... :?

It has worked for my Morris 1100 for the past 7 years. Drive it everyday too.

The exhaust valve clearances close up, so the valves eventually don't shut all the way, soon followed by a burnt exhaust valve.
So check your valve clearances regularly to see if the exhaust valves are closing up.

Aha yes but the head hasn't been rebuilt in the last 10 years, has it!!
I got valve seat recession in a 1098 head in 6 months from rebuild. All it took was use no additive and let my 18 year old son drive it as usual.
Note I did this on purpose, to see with my own 2 peepers what happens. 8)
The hot valves pulled bits of iron out of the head...

My 1360 gets Flashlube additive, it works for me. As it did for all those old iron-headed Holden taxis on LPG years ago.

so tomar looks like you can just add the lube when filling or rebuild your head (your cylender head not your other head )

Get the head looked at (eventually)
All you need to do is get hardened valve seats fitted.
