I've finally got around to piecing some aussie wind-up/external hinge doors back together. Can anyone please tell me what the name of these bits are? Can you get new/refurbished anywhere? Haven't had much luck finding anything but that may because I didn't know what to call them. Are they an aussie only part? Thanks

Door lock remote control. LH is an HYA2781, RH is an HYA2780. Try Mini King or Matt Read. Yep they are Oz door specific. 1965-1970. |

They are related to the Morris/Austin 1100 door lock remote. This is a photo of the 1100 remote... 
You may be able to repair your one with bits from an 1100 one. |

Wow that is close.....to the point where you'd have to wonder why they made a new part? I was a little reluctant to go opening it up cause of the size of the rivets holding it closed....but will keep the idea in mind. The fact that I've got 4 here and 3 are shagged made me think it would be a common fail point (the design certainly seems to be high stress), but then I'd expect to see more info about?
