Car smashes into Sydney house

AAP
November 22, 2009 10:02am

A MAN behind the wheel of a Mini which crashed off the road and into a suburban Sydney house will face court on traffic offences, police say.
In the early hours of this morning a 20-year-old man lost control of his Mini Cooper in the western Sydney suburb of Homebush, mounting the kerb and crashing into the front of a house.

No one was injured in the incident which occurred around 1.15am (AEDT) at the intersection of Underwood Road and Short Street.

The house was damaged but the occupants were allowed back into the home soon after fire fighters deemed the property structurally safe.

The driver, an Epping man, will face Burwood Local Court on December 17 for the offences of negligent driving and driving without a licence.

No - havn't been called out as yet - its a big dangerous fire though at Rylstone. Some of our brigade are out there and have been all night.

I have started the fire truck this morning and made sure all the pumps are running.

Its the same as yesterday weather wise - just sit and wait for the beeper. Touch and go - any fire is going to be a bad one.

Yes - we missed both the Dunn's swamp fires - the first one nearly resulted in the loss of one of our trucks.

Where are you Kim ????

We are not far from the swamp but we were in Sydney the day of the swamp fire. Apparently the second one happened when the Red Hill had a class of kids camping out overnight.
