not seen them before but it looks like they have been made thinner and wedged |

This is the std. rod: http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3032 ... hifter.jpg ![]() Looks like he wedged the selector pin and enhanced the wedging of the fork shifter things (don't know the name). |

I would almost bet that one of the selectors is offset to the other one slightly. ![]() If you do it properly you can't easily move the gearstick side to side in neutral. You have to wiggle it to go sideways! 1st to 2nd = normal 2nd to 3rd = easier 3rd to 4th = normal 4th to 1st = almost impossible. |

ok This is what i think is happening They have weld the tongue to the shaft They have chamfered the tongue (looks like both sides) They have re chamfered both selector rods What I think is happening is the shaft has to rotate less to clear the selector so making the travel of the gear stick less between 2nd and third making quicker and smoother gear changes What do you think Kiwiinwgtn |
