dont mix dot ratings = bad
disc do change your alignment quite significantly, seach for the post about setting your alignment by yourself. it will get you close enough in order to drive to your alignment place

arent some brake fluids rated dot 3 and 4 try using one of those to bleed your brakes ,just bleed them till you get new fluid coming through ,than if you like bleed again.

Mixing brake fluids is ok, PROVIDED your not mixing with silicone fluid. And the easiest way to change the fluid, i think, is to suck out whats in the resevoir, fill it up with new, and then open the bleeders at each wheel and just keep the resevoir topped up. If the old fluid is a different colour, you can stop when you see clean fluid, or when you think its had enough. To avoid making a mess, clear small pipe, such as used in windscreen washers work well when slid over the bleeder.

As for the alignment, could you elaborate? When you say alignment, what do you mean? Did you go from drums to disc, or just new discs?

update:

got everything back together ok just cant get the dam locking
nut on the tie rods undone ahhhhh
i just doused them in brake fluid and wd 40 to try and loosen em up see what happens in few hours.

Just going to get a couple of bottles of dot 4 fluid and try and flush out the dot 3.....
the only dot 3 thats left is the stuff in the return lines so with a full flush most of it should go away.
any other suggestions are welcome

Cheers Hoba
