Hey all,
Finally got new A008's on my '70 S, and today pulled the rear window (while proudly wearing my ausmini t-shirt) to glue down the bits of headlining that were loose. Looking forward to having glass back in. Once the new battery arrives I'll be back on the road.

Anyway, my car was originally tamarisk green monotone. I know it might piss off the asparagus gods to change the color, but whenever I can finally afford body/paint, I was thinking of doing another '70 color instead. Is there anywhere you know of that has samples of the original Oz colors, as listed on ozcooper.com.au? Something like this:

http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibra ... s-pg02.jpg

Also, on ozcooper, they list trim colors for some years, but not for 1970. Were all cars in 1970 monotone, or are trim colors just not listed on the site?

Happy turkey day to all, since that's as meaningful to you as asparagus is to us! :)

tx,
bmc

I just happened to go to a Yankee Thanksgiving dinner last night. And the turkey was excellent... :P

Does this help?

Thanks Kevin, that is a cool page! I wonder how accurate on my monitor.

Morris 1100, I like both of those. Any photos of them on a real car?

Cheers,
bmc

Hey Kevin/Morris 1100,
If you go to the Photos page of that site above, would you say that the bottom right picture is Camino Gold?

 Yeah, I could use a hoiliday!

That one took 6 months. It had been in my family since 1976 and had spent most of its life outside falling apart. Ironically it started life in Camino Gold,, I hated the colour personally and I didn't want to paint it 'Jet Red' cos there are plenty in that colour already... So it was a toss up between Gambier Turquoise with black stripes or White with Black stripes.

So,, when do I start boss

If you want to know the story behind the colour Gambier Turquoise just type "Mt Gambier Blue Lake" into Google images. Also type "Mt Gambier South Australia" into Google maps and look at the satellite view.
It is an awesome looking lake that changes colour from summer to winter.
