OK , since the season to be merry (and alcoholicly enhanced) is almost upon us , it' time for an Ausmini christmas tree decorating comp . The rules will be as follows ,

1 , the tree can be any size or type (fake , real , dead , alive , made from mini bits/minis/asparagus etc ) but must be physical , no computer animations , drawings or paintings etc .

2 , the tree must be decorated in a mini or ausmini theme .

3 , the competition starts today and closes 12:01 pm EDST (Eastern Daylight Savings Time) Sunday the 13th of December , all entries must be posted as a photo in this thread by then .

4 , All entires are to be a photo or photo's of the decorated tree with an ausmini logo and your username on a piece of paper in the photo (so we know you've done it for this comp and haven't swiped it from the net , I have a federal police photographic expert willing to check any photo's that appear photoshopped)

5 , prizes will be given for first place , judging will be done by all members of ausmini in a dedicated judging thread (will have a poll of all entrants) and the prize will be announced shortly as I have still got to dig through my double ups box to see what I have to offer

6 , all entrants should have fun , anyone found not having fun will be disqualified

OK , time to announce the prize for this competition , it is a copy of the book "Mini cooper and S" by Jeremy Walton , as per this one (the version with the red and white cooper s on the cover) on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/076031 ... 0760319820 . This is a spare from my own collection and has been read once but is in excellent condition . It will be posted free to the winner of the competition so get decorating

Good to hear Allan , are they better than last year yet or still a works in progress ?

Following on from some PM's , as people don't want to give their ideas away to others in the competition when finished PM me your pictures and I'll put an edited version of one of them in the thread only showing the background and your ausmini logo/username sign so everyone will know the entry was in on time , an uneditted version of the photo will be shown later in the judging thread to verify the entry .
