Post subject:  1.5 SU carbie replacement on a 998 engine
OK I have a standard 998 with extractors and an exhaust and wanted to swap the 1.25 SU for a 1.5 given the 1.25 now needs work.

I was told though BY THE CARBURETTOR PLACE (need to empahsise that) that a mini with 998 cant handle a 1.5 SU.

PLEASE can someone restore my sanity. It can cant it..?? :shock:

Maybe he was trying to say that the 1.25" Manifold cannot take the 1.5" carbie.

Other than that, "tell him he's dreamin'!"

Nah I had the complete manifold. They just needed a feeder pipe thing and to grind off the outlet pipes on the manifold (cause I have extractors)

I also told him that they were standard on clubbies but he told me that they were different engines... :evil: its like he didnt want my money.

he on drugs, all 998 clubbies came with 1.5's i will give my minis to him if he can prove me wrong......he wont but :lol: :lol:
