hey.

i'm just sorting on the very last little nick naks on my car new bearings & new poly rubbers on the suspension that squeak like hell any idea's to fix that?

so when i go over a bump the car makes this sharp metal sound & when i turn corners i think** i'm not sure but i think i can hear the back tyres rubbing a bit on the inside. they are 12 x 5 they rub at the front a tad at full lock.

now i don't at all have the car low i do have hi lows on the car it came with the car..

i'm just not sure what to look at net to diagnose this problem. (idea's)

all the suspension & handling feels great but i bit spongy. it has gaz adjustables all over also, you can change it from hard to soft.

thanks :)

If you can hear rubbing then something might be rubbing.
Have you taken the back wheels off for a look for signs of it on the tyres and guards?

yes mate

it only seems to be when i turn around corners but it could be road noise..

i did take the wheels of & checked all around and nothing when i did the wheel bearings.

but there is a sharp bottoming out sound when i hit over a bump. like a sharp metal grate sound.

i just cant work out where it is coming from..

it's like there is to much travel at the back maybe in the suspension?

it's smacking on something?

Set your shocks harder and go for a drive. Harder or softer suspension setting will narrow down where the noise is coming from.

Are all of your joints/rubbers greased up with the correct type/grade of grease?

Have you got yourself a 2nd set of eyes/ears? if you need some help I'm usually bored of an afternoon and live in Bray Park.

So Nick comes over, we go for a quick spin around the block, I discovered what the issue is, It's common on minis with widened drums or disk brakes...
Anyone want to guess??

 nope. That might explain some of the squeaks though.

Next clue is lowered suspension.

Too much bag in his tyres, so they were rubbing on the shock at full lock, bag due to old style tyres, lack of spaced drums or not enough air in his tyres?
