I am soon going to be putting a new fuel system in for a blow through carb setup and was wondering if this would work so that I don't have to make a return hole in the tank. ![]() |

I'm not sure it will. It seems like that T-Piece would become a bit of a road block.. |

I don't see why it wouldn't work, although I'm not sure about pressurising the tank side of the pump with the pressure bled off by the regulator. It'll be lower than the positive pump pressure, but higher than the gravity feed you'd otherwise get. I'd eliminate any doubt and run the regulator return directly to the tank... |

I think it might work. The only real problem i can imagine is the fuel that returns from the regulator will be heated, and it will go back through the system again and get hotter, possibly to the point of vapourising. Returning to the tank will act as a heat sink and stop this. I'd agree partially with Cush as any join/T peice is a restriction. |

i would be putting a surge tank inline and running the return line to the breather on the top of the tank! |

Yes that will work, it is a poular way of plumbing in a fuel return on van's. Be sure to make the return pipe a good size though, as the regs dont like a restriction on the return outlet of them. 8mm is good. |

Where did you get or are you planning to get that regulator wit one inlet and two outlets ? I have never seen one, they usually have an in and an out conection and that is it. |

I will be using 8 or 10 mm lines, the regulator is a rising rate Malpassi, I can't remember the model number at the moment but they come in 8mm and 10mm fuel line sizes most auto parts retailers have them I got mine from an Autobarn store in Brisbane. |
