Post subject:  slave cyl spring

gday all can any one tell me why this happens

i put that spring on the top of the operating lever to the bleed nip on the slave and then it doesent work i hafto take the spring off and bleed the cluch again then it will work again {never works real well }

Sounds like the slave cylinder is US.

It 'could' just be an adjustment issue.

i dont have theese fig 2 items is this a problem ---1)--- Back-off the two large nuts at the lower end of the clutch arm to the end of their travel. :?

shhh dont tell every one i want my car to keep its weight advantage :)

well i think i might replace the slave ,but before i do can anyone tell me how much travel mine should have when i put my foot on the cluch :?:

It is also worthwhile checking for wear on the three clevis pins.

One either end of the clutch arm and one under the dash into the bottom of the master cylinder.

I have seen these badly worn stopping enough clutch arm travel.

yea some guy on here that drives a am blue clubby mentiond that pin was us about a month ago :roll:
