Mini got hotter than i've ever seen it today after sitting at the lights for a long ass while, was coming up on the red section on the temp. gauge. Does my radiator need water/coolant? If so, how much of each, it's a 77 998 leyland clubby |

Definately check in the radiator, if it needs topping up just put in water cos if it leaks it's only water you're loosing. If the problem continues check it out further. When i'm stuck in a jam i turn the engine off, doesn't heat up and the plugs won't foul ![]() |

Just remember , don't open the radiator cap while it's still hot or you will be burnt by the water . |

Tried opening the bonet to put much needed oil in yesterday when it was 40 degrees - I now have burnt finger tips on all fingers ![]() I hadn't even been driving it, it was just cooking in the sun |
