Could be a number of things;-

worn clutch,
broken diaphram,
worn primary gear bushes,
oil on the clutch,
flywheel loose,
broken drive strap (on the flywheel)

but it could also be that you`ve always had a "slight" shudder but never took much notice & "drove around" the """Slight""" shudderr,,, BUT NOW!!! Maybe the engine mount(s) has/have broken? Maybe?

hey,,, it coud still be the clutch problem but if your engine mounts are stuffed it will shudder like S h! T :-)

Could also be a rubbish `cardboard' aftermarket clutch plate. I had that prob on the wife's Mini when bought.

If it clunks a few times as your turning it off could be the loose flywheel.
