C'mon guys, you get what you give, so don't keep the wheel of karma spinning... just chill hey ![]() Matt, seeing as how there has been half a dozen posts here none of which are relevant to your question I'll say that it looks like a late model polution head,,, maybe A+... can't tell you anything else but maybe some one else will now that its back on track. |

Phat Kat wrote: MG Rocket wrote: What are the rockers on this head? A+ They are the same rockers fitted to the polution motors in 77/78 in Australia. So they may be fitted to A+ but they were fitted for a few years before that. The head and the rockers look like late Aussie Mini 998. As for GT Mowog.... |

So are these rockers superior than the pressed metal type and interchangeable with earlier motors? |

MG Rocket wrote: So are these rockers superior than the pressed metal type and interchangeable with earlier motors? The only way they are superior is that they were cheaper to make. ![]() The general opinion is that they are not very good. |

They are rubbish really, when they wear you cannot rebush them like all the others, as there ain't no bush! They are sintered (hot pressed iron powder) and run direct on the shaft. I have one at work off a 1275 which wore so bad the rocker broke in 1/2 through the bottom. The shaft wasn't pretty, either. ![]() |
