Another question, does anyone know, or can point me in the direction to find what each slot of the multi-plug connector for a 1974 Leyland Mini S actually "connects" too, I believe they are labeled 1 through 14.

There are a number of multipin plugs on a 74 clubbie. Is it the one on the back of the instrument cluster that you are after?
