Post subject:  twinky midget...???

so the idea of a twinky mini has me captivated.... been searching for the perfect 'shell' to start my project for while now. (even though funds may not be there...?!?)

BUT..... (is it sacrilegious to ask here?).... would a twinky conversion work on a MG midget? Similar A-series engine no? Rear wheel drive! Open top fun! Weighs bugger all and would/could make a great little track car, no???

Any thoughts.....

PS. For all the 'twinky' advocates in Sydney, where or who does one see to get something done!?! QLD & SA cant have all the fun surely........

I knew someone who put a 302 windsor into a midget (or was it a sprite?) anyhow the ones that were twins of each other.

No it wasn't road legal, was a hillclimb/club car only.

Go for it, and let us know how you go.

Esp with turbo power it would be absolutely insane. Another of my dream builds to do.

Might need to get a stronger diff and gearbox though, but im no mg expert.

I have the perfect thing for a twinky conversion. An Austin Montego.
Plenty of room for the carbies or injection or turbo or blower...

I can't see any reason why it wouldn't fit on a RWD A series.

There is (was?) a twinky Goggomobile in Canberra. One cam in front and one in the back ...each with its own A series attached:)

Cheers, Ian
