The Moke will be lowered, but standard Moke wheels with normal car profile 13" rims (as per standard equipment on a Moke) will still need to be used (lower profile tyres on 13x6's will also be used). Standard height shocks or lowered shocks? Lowered fronts and standard rears? |

The mokes (with 13"wheels) had reduced suspension travel at the front. This was done early in the piece by a piece of metal welded to the top arm on the pad that the bump stop rests on to. It was about 6 mm thick. Later Mokes had longer bump stops. If you are still running with either of these in place, then standard heigh shocks are the go, likewise, if it it for street use, then I'd still suggest standard. Probably only for track use that I'd say to use lowered shocks on the front. Do not use lowered shocks ever on the rear of a moke. It will allow travel to the point that it will break trailing arm pins. |
