Post subject: | Fluid Change |
Ive just been thinking this Feb will mark 7yrs since my car has been on the road and has just recently ticked over 10 thousand miles. I think I should probably flush and change the brake/clutch fluid? Is the silicone based stuff really that much better? Im led to believe its not as hygroscopic as standard fluid, so would probably be better to use in my situation? Thoughts/ideas? |

Brake fluid should be replaced every 2 years regardless of milage. Clutch is easy whilst you're in there. Maybe do coolant too. And oil. ![]() |

Not simply a matter of switching fluids. I think you have to renew all the seals & rubbers as well. Plus the cost is exxy. Personally, I think its easier, cheaper & simpler to do more regular changes with the ordinary stuff, even though its a messy job. And I hate the feel of the stuff. |
