Hi everyone

Was just having a look through the uk minispares site, and came across this brakepipe kit.
http://minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=pb&pid=38000&title=BRAKEPIPE%20KIT%20DISC%20BRAKES...

Was just wondering if any one has bought one before?
Would this be the right kit for a hydro deluxe with 7.5" discs and standard drums on the back?

At a guess they would fit.
But as Harley has said, copper has its problems, just measure your old ones and go to a brake place with your measurments.
Or the Mini King has NOS ones.
Cheers Pete

They may not fit, hydro cars here ran the pipes in floor channels the UK cars didn't have.
As said, copper brake pipes are illegal here. Just get a reputable BRAKE shop (not a glorified muffler place)here to make new ones to your samples. It's not expensive. You can bend cupro nickel pipes to shape easy and they won't rust.

This issue has always perplexed me. How can it be that copper brake pipes are perfectly safe in the UK but unsafe here in Aus? The poms are not stupid, and they are in many ways are more stricly regulated than we are here. Perhaps they have better copper than we do.

The poms fit copper because steel rusts.
We fit steel because copper work hardens and cracks.

To add onto Morris1100s answer, over there brake lines rust before they would work harden, here its the other way, they'd work harden before they rust.
You want the material that'll last the longest in your country. Does that sound right? :D

thanks folks,
I figured there must be something that wasn't quite right for them over here as haven't seen them mentioned.
Also on the topic of illegal bits for brakes, any problems with braided hose for brakes? for the bits of line that need to move about

sorry for the probably stupid questions.

I believe they need attached ADR approval to be legal here.
