Hi,

Does anyone know what the going rate is for chrome plating? Per Kg or item say a mini bumper bar?

Thanks

Rich

I got a quote on a mini bumper (clubby) without underriders and he reckoned about $150ish.

That was a while ago though and there is only 1 electroplater in Toowoomba that I know of so he's kinda go you over a barrel unless you want to send stuff to Brissy.

I'd have to say 'how long is a piece of string?' Sorry to put up that type of reply, but it would largely depend on the amount of preparation needed. It is for the most part done by hand.

I have been to a few chrome platers to get stuff plated and they will all give you a different price, so there really isn't a fixed price per kg for chroming.

Cheers Dan
