If so, what brand? and do they all bring the steering wheel closer to your chest?

they are illegal i believe in a road car but anyway, the only one i would recomend is a sparco boss mounted system which screws to the steering wheel boss and has a pre welded spline etc on it. it would bring the steering wheel about 10cm closer to you but in a mini that means about 5cm upwards too.. they are about $500 but the other ones you can buy are either of poor quality which means you get play in the steering after 5 mins of use, or require you to weld a spline onto the steering column. something i would be very careful doing unless your a very good welder.

jump on revolutionracegear.com.au and see what they have on there

I would not advise using one. They wear the splines quite quickly and often need replacing when used on race cars. So on a road car they wouldn't last very long at all. I wouldn't run one on a race car unless I really needed it for access.

And they are illegal for road use. (They do not comply to ADRs)

Are you wanting to do it for any particular reason or just to show off?

forgot to add.. if you just want the steering wheel closer to your chest, buy a spacer for it.. you can get them in 10mm right up to 15cm

I saw the same add I think you were looking at bamnfi. Or was it an article in a magazine... can't remember... But I have recently seen some sort of advertisment for a removable wheel.

You know what I do bamnfi, I just open the boot, take the negitive off the battery and lock the boot.

easy peasy :)

Truth be known, if someone wants to steal your car... they're gana steal your car... not a lot you can do :?

"Grant Products" in the states do a security wheel.

I doubt that they would pass the local rules.
