Well mine valve bounces at around 6,000 RPM... thats about when i take my foot off the accelerator ![]() |

5500rpm until i get the weber sorted.... cos atm it won't pull past that, there's just nothing there ![]() |

I used to crank the last one to 8000 on the track, but with the new 1360 I'll try and stop myself at 7500... ![]() But it's got an S crank & rods and a full balance job.. |

No use revving mine over 5000, it goes nowhere after that! at 4500 is about time to change gears in case the people behind me complain about the smoke from unburnt fuel ![]() |

limiter is factory set at 7500rpm, has hit it on the dyno a couple of times ![]() |

Mine red lines at 19,800. But only go to 18,900 to improve reliability. I don't go past 4500. Simple as that. |

running a 998 standard I am lucky to get to the 4000 mark before Mo tells me its time for a different gear. |

In the 1960s Honda was well known for its racing motorcycles that reved to 18,000 or more. What was not well known was that Honda was fiddling the tacho drives so that the tacho was showing very high. The other teams thought that Honda was winning because of high revs and tried to build motors that would rev the same. ![]() |

No tacho in "The Heinz" at the moment but I think that it would be doing about 5000 to 7000 rpm at full throttle (That is full speed, off the speedo [90mph]) When I get the tacho in I will let people know. Pat |
