Under the rocker cover = Easy to fix and probably not a big issue Under the head = Not too sure about this... it could be big problems! Are you 100% sure it's not just leaking from the rocker cover and dripping all the way down to the head and bellow? I would 1) Check that the rocker cover bolts are done up tight 2) replace the rocker cover gasket (cheap and easy to do) and see if still leaks |

Are you sure it's the rocker cover that is leaking? Do you have a breather on the top of your rocker cover? could the oil be coming from that?? |

Maybe by "Rocker Cover" you mean "Tappet Cover" or "Tappet Chest" ? Rocker cover = Top of engine with the oil cap in it Tappet Chest = Bits on the back of an 850/998/1100 or Cooper "S engine that bolt on with a single bolt each..... Hope this helps J |

ive called it engine plates, back plates, tappet covers i like "tappet chest" though so this oil leak in the front causes smokiness? |
