Hi folks, just wondering if anyone out there can shed some light on what happened with this car?
SFW-863 1976 AM Eye Blue Clubman S - Last seen in Lonsdale SA Last Year
We had owned this car from 1995-1999 and sold it to finance an overseas trip. In the time that we owned it we cut out all the rust and gave the car a general tidy up - when we sold it it was a very tidy and reliable clubby that looked nice and drove well. This is the car that rekindled my Dad's interest in Minis (first owned a 1967 deluxe back in the early 70's) and hooked my Brother and I on Minis (I bought my 850 in 1998!).
Sadly, it was spotted for sale out the front of a wrecking yard in Lonsdale last year, advertised for $1500 as a 'gret Mini'
Unfortunately, there was nasty rust in almost every panel (including the middle of the bonnet and places you'd think would never rust 
) - alas it was nowhere near the condition we had sold it in 10 years earlier and was really quite sad to see it looking so ordinary (and rusty!) after all the work Dad and I had put in to it.
Anyway, I digress - I'm hoping that someone may have rescued it - if anyone has any info on the car's past, present and future it would be great to know! Fingers crossed it's still out there somewhere!!!
