Hi all just got my mini back from the garage and (im a noobie) i need to get a new R/H lower ball joint and R/H outer CV boot. asap can someone help me please. |

whats wrong with the balljoint? cant it be adjusted? I may have a new cv boot . . . will have a look see and let you know. |

Mini ball joints can be adjusted by shimming. If the ball or cup has worn unevenly the joint will need to be replaced. New ball joints need to be shimmed correctly, you need to consult you workshop manual, it's pretty straightforward. You'll really need a ball joint splitter to get them apart as they have a tapered shaft, the old bash with two hammers method works but can do a lot of damage. Pete |
