Early type- fitted on 100% of Oz Minis is Lucas inertia type.
If you want a better one MG Heritage has pre-engaged ones to fit `our' Minis, $160 approx.
Bolts straight in. Mini Mad has one.

what type of starter was would i have it looks to be the original type is this a INERTIA STARTER MOTOR or a PRE ENGAGED STARTER. Thanks |

Gemini is a pre-engaged, but needs the mounting holes filed a bit to fit. All the pre-engaged ones mesh in from the front (engine side) of flywheel. |
