Anybody else find this site to be useless? Once upon a time, it was good.
Where are carby needles now, for example.. :x

http://www.sumidel.com/

I guess I could get my SU parts from UK.. :!:

last time I dealt with them (HS4 needle), they were pretty casual.

Maybe they are only interested in selling big ticket items

I haven't actually delt with them for a few years now, but after SU in the UK closed down, Midel were effectively SU (worldwide), as they bought all the parts however, recently a US company has aquired the rights to SU, Solex, Amal and Weber (and Stromberg?) and it is since this time that Midel is not what they used to be. Yes, the www site is not what it was either.

Has anyone passed these concerns back to Adam? I found him to be very helpful the times I've talked to him. As a businessman I would've thought he'd like to hear any constructive criticisms.

Try
http://www.burlen.co.uk/

or
http://www.carburettorservice.com.au/

I just went to Burlen's site, ordered 2x OA6 needles, £18 total including £8.50 post.
...now waiting for mail... 8)

It sure does, and if you know the p/no it's dead easy. Couple of clicks and you're home and hosed.

Ahh, when SU stopped making Carbs, Burlen bought up everything and took over producing and supplying original SU parts and still are. No US buyout AFAIK..

Have used them for everything I cannot get or otherwise from progas (who bought up everything when Akses closed) here in brissie.

From the Burlen Web Site -
"in 2002 Burlen acquired the intellectual property rights and the S.U trademark. Burlen is now the world's sole manufacturer of genuine, new S.U product, and can supply new carburetters, pumps and spares for almost all models from 1930 to the present day."

cheers

Kevin

Sorry Kevin, my bad. I remembered that it was one company that aquired most of the carbs from classic cars.

Cheers
