Post subject: | Clubman SS |
I recently bought a clubman van that had been done up to include some bits out of a wrecked Clubman SS. This includes the radio 'pod' thing, the grill with spottie cutouts, the three gauge dash (tacho) and the front seats. I also got the boot and heated rear windscreen from the guy I got the van off, (in the shed with my other spares now!) I was wondering if anyone else can shed some light on these mystery cars. Any details at all would be good to know, Cheers Matt |

The Clubman SS and the 998LS share many of the same components. czerial probably has literature that will shed some light for you. Lights, heated windscreen, am/fm radio, tacho, upspec trim, badging, wheels, paint colour will probably be the majority of the features. |

"1976 Leyland Mini SS - Limited Edition of 500 cars. UK sourced 998cc engine (40bhp) or 1098cc engine (50bhp) on automatics." There were no Auto SSs. "First Australian Limited Edition to revert back to rubber suspension." If the Mini S was limited then it was the first. Hydro was phased out at the end of 1972. that factory tint you talk of was sometimes called Green Glass but it's real name is Sundym. |
