I have used a Pulsar dizzy in a Clubby, I wired it as stock and it worked OK. Can't remember if the tacho was early or later model though. |

On a Clubby GT, the tacho is wired in series with the power lead to the coil When fitting a Pulsar dizzy to it, the black/white goes to the coil [+] terminal. The blue wire goes to the coil's [-] terminal. The wire between the coil [-] and dizzy is removed with the old dizzy. It is years since I did it. Pretty sure a Clubby S is the same setup, it would be helpful if Leyland had produced an AUSTRALIAN diagram for it. None of my manuals have one, including the Leyland Black Book. |

Don't forget that there are two different types of tachos on Clubbies/Leyland Minis. ![]() |

Post above edited after reading manual. ![]() Yes there are 2 Clubby S tachos, but I think they are both inductive loop. Early one had banana plugs on the back, as did the GT one. |
