The new front panel you have is a later "Rover" type panel with the holes for a rubber mounted subframe. To use your eariler type subframe you will need to weld up & re drill the holes in the new panel. |

I have fitted these. Just get the rubber mount and it will all line up. Part No. for the mount 21A2624. You may also need to put a couple of shimes between the panel and this mount, in fact since you are replacing the panel, I would suggest that you align so that you do need to use at least one shim so as to make it easier to put the subframe in. |

The next thing to sort out is the fact that the flat surface sits further away from the subframe. You'll need a spacer between the subby and the panel. M |

Not an issue for me, I'm doing the Starlet GT engine conversion so will be making my own custom front subframe. |
