Who has the March 2001 issue of MiniWorld?

There is a black mini in it with the owner of Chris Padgham and it is a 1300cc Mini Special.

I have the poster sitting on my wall at work of this car but can't find the issue at home at the moment. What I want to know is if any one can tell me what flares are on that car as I want them...best flares I have ever seen I reckon. Well besides the ones on the red twin R1 mini...those are hot.

So can anyone help me out? Be greatly appreciated.

Todd

bugger...thanks for having a look anyway. I might have to turn the house upside down to find it.

Sent an email to miniworld ages ago asking them if they could tell me what flares were on it. Gave them all the details I had from the poster and I haven't heard back from them and that was months ago....slack bastards they are.

Are you sure Mr google can't find what you are looking for? there must me 1,000,001 mini pics out there so at least 1 of these will feature the flares that you want, surely :)

Yeah but the question is do I have enough time to look through 100 000 000 000 pics of minis to try and find the flares...I think I am better off turning the house upside down to find the book...would be quicker.

Should have it boxed up at home somewhere in the attic, I'll look tonight when I get home.

PM sent - for the benefit of others:

Sorry to say but the flares you are talking about were custom made by Chris and took 2-3 weeks each to make (now there's dedication!). Firstly he placed the wheels on the car then made templates with cardboard and filler and made a mould from that using fibreglass. They were then screwed to the shell and finished off with filler!

Got to admit they look good though.

If you go to the Minisport web site they sell race/rally arches that are similar but nowhere as good.

Hope this helps

Yeah thanks Flashback, does help a lot...its helps me cry :( I wanted a set of those flares. Why does everything good have to be custom made geez. Now I will have to keep hunting for some flares like them. I sure as hell ain't spending 2-3weeks making a set of flares that would probably turn out dodgy. Thanks again for the information, although it really wasn't what I wanted to hear.
