Post subject:  998 Cam Vs 1098 Cam

Are they supposed to be the same (standard).... Or..... Like mine, the one that I have pulled out of my 998 seems to have a bigger lift with a longer duration (only measured with verniers because that's all I got). I'm guessing if the 998 cam does have the higher, longer lift then that would be the one to use if I decide to stroke the motor. Obvious yes? It's late and I'm tired and I'm not really sure which way is up right now. So help please. Thanks esteemed mini peoples. :)

All A series 998 cams (except the 998 Cooper one) have only .285" lift at valve.
1098 cams have .312", also more duration.

The only good use for a 998 cam is for regrinding to something decent.

If your 998 one has more lift, it may have been reground already.
