i've been trying to remove the hose between the slave and master cylinder with a 11/16 and 5/8 but failing. if anyone is able to come round and help me out it'd be great. also is the hose a specialist part? pm me. |

use a shifting spanner? might also need some wd40 if it hasnt been changed in a while |

Assuming you mean the flexible line, you need to unscrew the solid line that comes from the MC. It screws into the flexible line. Then undo the lock nut that holds the flexible hose in the bracket on the firewall. Once the flexible hose is free that end you should be able to undo it from the slave and take it off. If my memory has this a bit wrong I'm sure someone will chime in with a correction. Pete |

flex line has now been changed, couldnt bleed the clutch seeing as andy is at uni. as i said in the sms see if you can bleed it and get good pedal feel if not order a new flex line from one of the online places and get a new hardline from one of the local places(ive had one done at reliance brakes in fairy meadow and only cost $10, compared to the $30 that some places are charging online. although id suggest getting the single piece braided line that minisport have its a bit pricey so i doubt youll want to go that option |

dont give me praise yet, unsure if it is fixed or not. people say clubbys have room in the engine bay i disagree, wouldve taken me half hour to do on my car but took a while because of the brake booster and starter solenoid being in the way. |

There is a couple of tricks to bleeding the clutch on your own. My way is to use something to hold the pedal down while I undo the bleed screw. I use either a bar or screwdriver jammed under the brake pedal and over the clutch pedal. Or.. A block of wood on the clutch pedal and against the front of the drivers seat. It may take a few trip from inside the car to under the bonnet but you will get there in the end. |

I popped around to andrews this arvo, We bled the clutch and got it all sorted. Scott wi-lo pulled up just as we were about to test it. It all seems fine now. andrew thinks it feels a little softer than before. To me it feels like normal pedal. Main thing is it is all working.
