Are the brake and clutch master cylenders for a clubman GT still available,
if so where from? or should I be looking for a second hand pair?

I don't believe these Oz made MCs are available still, however Matt Read `TheMiniMan' has had new plastic reservoirs and caps made, they are available.
I would find 2 s/h MCs and get their bores sleeved with S/S.

Th original ones for the Oz GT's had the all Plastic Resivior. No they are NLA, however Matt Read (The Mini Man) had some new resivior's made. You'll need to get your old cylinders sleeved most likely.

Try www.minisport.com.au I'm pretty sure they are on there.
Look in the clutch section then the brake components section.

The origional ones have long gone, it has the lockheed S style taller brake and standard clutch MCs fitted, I will be on the look out for a pair of origional style MCs, I take it that the aus clubmans also used the same MCs?

given GT's were made out of leftover MK2 S bits, it's possible they are the originals. The Lockheed plastic ones were used on MK2's, and were replaced with the PBR ones at some point. There would have been varying stocks of all sorts, so maybe they are the originals

indeed you're right GT, but if you look at the top of those reservoirs, you'll see a Lockheed logo - a big triangle with Lockheed written in it ;)

Apologies maybe in order here but it appeared that it was the Tin Tank M/Cs you and / or austion costin were refering to.

Cheers

I think you'll find that the Lockheed ones are original and the PBRs are a replacement.

There were actually 3 (Three) different master cyl reservoirs avaliable throughout the plastic res era,,, Girlock (rare),,, PBR ,,,& Lockheed (Most common)

all were the same dimentions/shape etc,,, just different logos moulded into them

I`ve tried , but can`t "nut-out" any change point for them, i believe that the lockheed was the std original part , & both Girlock & PBR tried to bite off a piece of the pie by introducing their own later on.

i had the Lockheed type made & yes the res has LockReed on it but the lid i kept as per original

The std original Cooper "S" tin res type cyls are a different kettle of fish to the GT plastic res type cyls

EDIT-> Oh & the new reservoirs that i had made were almost going to have "Look-Read" on them all,,, but they wanted way too much money to change them soo much, i just had the "H" changed to the "R" :-)

They are also made from """WAY""" better material than the originals,--> they are all starting to break up quite bad these days so i used the very latest & greatest quality material for the job.

nothing but the best for all you guys :-)

2nd EDIT--> Oh & i have some 2nd hand cyls here if anyone needs some & of course i have plenty of brand new reservoirs , Repair kits are still avaliable (I do carry stock of those too) & i would have the cyls sleaved with stainless steel so they last for ever.

i would fit .75" for the clutch (with no "Slow-Return-Valve) ,,, & .7" for the brake (With the "Slow-Return-Valve),,, that simply is the best combination.
