I just don't have enough money or time to fix up my beloved mini...

I've got 2 options. Sell the lot. Or, keep it stored away until I have the time and money to work on it.

Anyone interested in a clubby with the front smashed in, in Adelaide?

If you have the facility to store it for nix or next to nix I would be doing that. Selling would be the absolute last option for me.

I think it really depends on how attached you are to your car.
I had been experiencing a really unpredictable job circumstances for the past decade, and it has only just settle down. The '66 Mini has been in storage (in my garage) since late 2005. Only started working on it in the last few months or so. If you feel it would be hard/expensive to get another car like yours, and you have a place to store it for free, why get rid of it?

If you can store it do it. My boat has been stored in my front yard for free for a year

That damage appears superficial and i bet you love the car. IMO KEEP IT.

Gone about in a careful and planned way, yes I would have to agree. I hate panel & paint, but even that I could fix.

dude i was thinking of the same thing about a year ago.. and im glad i made my decision to keep my car ( at the moment).. i didnt have the money for the repairs either and ive recently lost my job which has buggered me up completely.. but my car is nearly finished and the guy that is repairing it for me is a great bloke who has been really patient and accepting money when i have it..

should be seeing the car back in my garage half complete in about 3 months :D..

my point is, if u really really really want to keep the car and it has some sort of value to u like mine did.. keep it. doesn't matter how long it will take u to repair it, u will appreciate the fact u didn't sell it when u have the money.

if u can do the repairs yourself then do it.. but if u are scared of buggering the car up, see if u can find a good panel beater and explain your situation and see what he can do for you.. you will be surprised how many panel beaters there are that are happy to work on the car and get paid when you have the cash handy.

If you've got the space or can find the space keep it , too many people have sold cars only to realise 6 or 12 months down the track it was a mistake . You won't always be unable to afford to repair it and will kick youself in a few months time if things have changed . Maybe put a time limit on things and if you still can't do it in 12 months or so then look at selling/keeping it again .

If you really like the car, store it.
How many times have you heard someone say, I should never have sold it.
Happens to everyone.
Don't join that queue line of regret.
