Hi all, Im looking at getting a new set or tyres for my mini. Im running 13in rims. I was wondering if anyone has used a set of Yokohama's A048's on the road? If so how long did they last for? And would you buy another set of them? cheers |

yes i`ve used them for a few years,,, becareful as there are a few different compounds,,, SS is super soft & will wear quite quickly,,, & there is an "M" --> i expect means "Medium" & lasts for ages providing you drive them sensibly,,, run them hard/fast very pften & they will wear quickly too,,, but "Normal" road use they wear quite well They`re absolutely excellent in the wet weather tho ![]() just do your homework on the compouds avaliable first they`re a "GREAT" tyre,,, i love them ![]() |

They`re absolutely excellent in the wet weather tho ![]() just do your homework on the compouds avaliable first they`re a "GREAT" tyre,,, i love them ![]() i concur just watch out for gravel. driving along when you hit a puddle it sprays water meters out to the side. more than any car/tire i've driven on the road. its hilarious to try and get people on the footpath ![]() |

I have them in the "S" compound, and the "M" compound. The "M" compound would be suitable for a daily driver, but are only available in 175/60R13 as far as I know. The "S" compound I have run on my mini for the last two years. Great tyre life, fantastic traction. Have driven to Collie and Busselton with all our gear for the weekend on board, raced & driven back. 13s do seem to give a much improved longevity. |

Yea i have 'S' compound, they are awesome great feel..depends how you drive i got maybe 5,000km from fronts but the rears would last around 15,000.. This is with some hard driving and some drag nights as well. They are about $1000 a set here last time i looked.. |
