Post subject:  Upgrading to pot joints
I have a remote gearbox with the rubber uni joints.

if i upgrade to pot joints can i use the shafts i already have or do i need shafts aswell?

can i just buy 2 x pot joints and utilise the current shafts that i have?

the origonal rubber type output shaft flanges are badly worn on the shafts as you can see below. i am hoping i may be able to just buy the pot joints and it will all bolt up using what i have.

you need to swap the "Inner" axles,,, the ones that come through the diff side covers from the inside

to do that--> the engine needs to come out of the car & then it`s fairly straight forward procedure

& also swap the outer axles too

if you need all the bits , then i have them here,,,inc 2x new final drive seals,,, you should fit new seals in while you`re there

I'm doing this job atm, it's not to bad. only issues i've had were that I upgraded to a 4 pin diff, so bearings were a hassle.
