Further to my project....I'm interested in the style of Minis people have.
When first joining ausmini it was interesting to note the wide acceptance of all the types of Minis.
There's considerable tolerance among all, whether faithful resto's or full on modified.
So what do you have?

Mine still looks like a `Matic, but is a sleeper. :P
I'd keep a real Cooper S or Clubby GT pretty original, but anything else is fair game, IMO.

When I first joined the forum I thought you were actually still running an auto box.

That would be interesting.

That thought crossed my mind when I built it, but they just lose too much HP.
And you can't cam the engine up much, or it won't pull away properly.
Besides, I already had a Mk1 1310S motor and Mk2 box to put in it.

Well Maxxy, you will be allowed to tick the first box even though unrestored.

Sounds like my kinda car. So maybe a mod could eliminate the word "subtle"
out of question two for me?

I like mine fairly modified, but looking relatively standard.

I'd have to say fairly original with subtle modifications.

My goal is a tuned 1275 with disc brakes, and fully adjustable suspension in an otherwise stock looking clubman van - I refuse to have a radio or any other 'luxuries', or get wheels bigger than 10 inches.

My van is modified but my old 850 is very much an unrestored original.
When I get around to rebuilding the engine I'll throw on a set of rims and the 997 disks sitting here though. :D

Cooper S and Mini Van, both heavily modified.
